Overview
The ReputeLoop + Cloudbeds integration automatically sends review requests to guests when they check out of your property. The request goes out by email or SMS while the stay is still fresh — typically within minutes of checkout.
Positive responses are routed to your Google review page. Negative responses are captured privately in ReputeLoop's Help Desk so you can follow up directly — protecting your public rating while still hearing honest feedback.
- Trigger: Guest checkout event from Cloudbeds webhook
- Channel: Email (default) or SMS
- Cooldown: 30 days per guest — no repeat requests for return visitors
- Add-on price: +$35/month on any ReputeLoop plan
How to sign up for ReputeLoop
- Go to reputeloop.com and click Get started free.
- Create an account with your email or Google. No credit card is required to start.
- Complete the onboarding wizard: enter your business name, add at least one location, and paste your Google Review URL.
- You'll start on a 14-day free trial (Starter plan). You can subscribe to any paid plan at any time during the trial — the Cloudbeds add-on requires an active subscription.
Plans start at $49/month (Starter). The Cloudbeds integration is available on any plan as a +$35/month add-on.
How to connect ReputeLoop with Cloudbeds for the first time
The connection is a standard OAuth 2.0 flow — no API keys to copy, no webhooks to configure manually. Everything is set up automatically.
Prerequisites
- An active ReputeLoop subscription (trial + checkout, or paid plan)
- Owner or admin role in your ReputeLoop account
- A Cloudbeds account with at least one property
Steps
- In ReputeLoop, go to Settings → Integrations.
- Find the Cloudbeds card and click Add Cloudbeds — $35/month.
- Review the confirmation modal showing the charge amount and click Subscribe. The add-on is billed immediately (or at trial end if you're still in trial).
- After subscribing, click Connect Cloudbeds on the same card.
- You'll be redirected to Cloudbeds to authorize the connection. Log in to Cloudbeds if prompted, select the property to connect, and click Allow.
- You'll be returned to ReputeLoop Settings. The Cloudbeds card will show a Connected status with your property name.
The integration is now active. ReputeLoop registers a checkout webhook with Cloudbeds automatically — no additional setup required in Cloudbeds.
How the integration works
- Guest checks out — Cloudbeds fires a
reservation/checkout webhook to ReputeLoop. - Guest lookup— ReputeLoop fetches the reservation details from the Cloudbeds API to get the guest's name, email, and phone number.
- Contact upsert— The guest is added to your ReputeLoop Contacts (or updated if they've stayed before). If a contact with the same email already exists, their name is updated from Cloudbeds.
- Cooldown check — If the same guest received a review request from your property within the last 30 days, the request is skipped to prevent sending too frequently.
- Plan limit check— The request counts against your monthly review request quota. If you've hit your plan limit, the request is skipped until the next billing period.
- Review request sent — A review request email (or SMS if configured) goes to the guest. The email includes a star rating prompt.
- Routing on response— 4–5★ responses are directed to your Google review page. 1–3★ responses with written feedback are captured in ReputeLoop's Help Desk (Growth and Pro plans) for private follow-up.
Choosing email vs SMS
By default, review requests are sent by email. If a guest has an email address in Cloudbeds, that is always used first.
To switch to SMS as the preferred channel for integration-sourced requests:
- Go to Settings → Integrations → Integration preferences.
- Under Preferred channel for integration requests, select SMS.
- Click Save.
SMS requires an active Telnyx toll-free number on your account (set up in Settings → SMS). If SMS is selected but no approved number is on file, the integration falls back to email.
Limitations
- Contact required: The guest must have an email address or phone number in Cloudbeds. Reservations with no contact information are skipped.
- One property per connection: Each ReputeLoop business connects one Cloudbeds property. If you manage multiple properties under separate Cloudbeds accounts, contact support@reputeloop.com for a group account setup.
- 30-day guest cooldown: A guest who checks out and then returns within 30 days will not receive a second review request on the second stay. The cooldown resets after 30 days.
- Subscription required: The Cloudbeds add-on requires an active ReputeLoop paid subscription. If your subscription lapses, integration webhooks are received but review requests are not sent until the subscription is restored.
- Monthly quota:Integration-sourced requests count against your plan's monthly review request limit (Starter: 150/month, Growth: 500/month, Pro: 1,500/month).
- Send scheduling:If you have a send delay configured in Settings (e.g. “send 2 hours after trigger”), the review request is queued and sent at the scheduled time — not immediately at checkout.
How to disconnect
Disconnect from ReputeLoop
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- On the Cloudbeds card, click Disconnect.
- Confirm in the modal. The integration is disconnected immediately. The Cloudbeds webhook registered with your property is removed automatically.
Your existing contacts and review request history are retained after disconnecting — only future automated requests stop.
To also cancel the $35/month add-on billing, click Cancel add-on on the Cloudbeds card after disconnecting. Billing continues until the end of the current billing period, and you can reconnect at any time before then.
Disconnect from the Cloudbeds side
To remove the ReputeLoop connection from within Cloudbeds, follow the Cloudbeds Marketplace disconnect guide. Removing the connection from Cloudbeds will also stop webhook deliveries to ReputeLoop.
